Everyone has their own routine when it comes to working from home, but it’s very important to make a distinction between your work and personal life. Find what works for you and stick with it!
As someone who is very familiar with working from home, I know how hard it can be to differentiate your “work time” from your “home time”. Everyone has their own routine when it comes to working from home, but it’s very important to make a distinction between your work and personal life. Without this distinction, it’s very easy to become overwhelmed or stressed out!
Here are a few tips you can easily add to your own daily routine to avoid any unnecessary stresses:
Take a proper lunch break and step away from your work for a while! Go for a walk, make a fresh meal, or play with a pet – but make sure you take some time for yourself during the day!
Stick to a morning routine. Maybe it’s getting in a workout, making a healthy breakfast for the family, or journaling – but make sure you take some personal time before jumping into your work right away.
Have a designated work space. If you have a home office, this is even better, but I know not everyone has the space! Make sure you have adequate lighting, a comfy chair – and a space that’s not your couch or your bed!
Make time to move. Not only is a workout good for your overall health, but it will also help you stay focused throughout the day! Take the dog for a jog, play catch in the yard with the kiddos, or just go for a walk – it doesn’t matter, just move your body!
What have you found to help with your routine while working from home? These help me (and have been proven to help others!) but find what works for you and stick with it!
